The Hardrock Club, organized in 1951, was established to raise funds to support athletic programs at SDSM&T. A major portion of this support is provided in the form of athletic scholarships. The challenge, of course, is finding gifted athletes that are also excellent students. Fortunately, this has not been a problem given the high caliber of students that SDSM&T attracts. In fact, last year athletic scholarship awards were received by students from every department on campus. In this way, all departments on campus benefited from scholarship support provided to student athletes.

Additional contributions and gifts are always needed. Endowments, cash gifts, gifts-in-kind, and equipment gifts are all greatly appreciated. As always, the integrity of the academic standards at Tech will not be compromised. We will continue to offer support to the SDSM&T Athletic Department, and with continued support from alumni and friends, increase our support in the future.
